JevtabAI

Privacy policy

Your tabs deserve a clear explanation.

Last updated: October 10, 2026

At a glance

JevtabAI helps you organize saved browser links into project Spaces using optional, user-requested Jev AI suggestions. You review and explicitly apply the suggestions; saving, reopening and backing up links support this workflow. This policy covers the JevtabAI Chrome extension, its free AI relay, and this website. JevtabAI is the product name used by the developer of this extension. Contact the developer at bryceyufeng@gmail.com.

  • Your saved links and Spaces are stored locally in your Chrome profile.
  • AI grouping is optional and starts only when you request it.
  • AI receives tab titles, domains, and your Space names and criteria. Other private information you write in those fields may be included.
  • JevtabAI has no account system or built-in cloud synchronization.

What is stored on your device

The extension stores saved page URLs and titles, capture times, ordering, Space names and classification criteria, and preferences. Full saved URLs can include paths, query parameters and fragments. It also stores operation records used to recover interrupted actions, onboarding progress, local identifiers, AI suggestions and input signatures, free-trial usage, and an optional Jev API key that you provide.

These records use local extension storage in your Chrome profile. AI caches and signatures may retain original titles and Space text, including a URL used as a page title. JevtabAI does not upload your bookmark collection for cloud synchronization.

What happens when you use AI

When you request grouping, JevtabAI sends the relevant saved-tab identifiers, titles and domains, together with the identifiers, names and classification criteria of your existing Spaces. It does not send the saved page URL as a separate field or read the page body, forms, passwords or unsaved document contents for grouping.

Before sending, JevtabAI replaces detected URL text in titles and Space text with the hostname. This is not a general sensitive-information filter: other text is sent as written and may contain personal or confidential information. Review your titles and criteria before using AI.

  • Free trial: information passes through the JevtabAI relay hosted by Cloudflare, then to TypeSafe’s Jev service. The developer’s provider key is held on the server.
  • Your own key: the extension sends grouping information and your key directly to TypeSafe. Your key is not sent through the JevtabAI free relay.
  • Connection checks: a free-service health check does not send saved tabs or request grouping. Verifying your own key sends it to TypeSafe to check model access without classifying tabs.

These requests also involve normal network information, such as IP addresses, request headers, timestamps and extension origin information. Providers may process that information to operate and protect their services.

A valid result saved locally for review uses one free run, even if you do not apply it or all tabs remain in Inbox. This installation provides 10 free results, up to 50 tabs per free request. Your own-key requests are billed to your TypeSafe account. Interrupted requests may still have reached the provider. JevtabAI does not automatically retry a failed grouping request.

Service providers and operational records

Cloudflare hosts this website and the free AI relay. The relay code has no database or persistent store for grouping inputs or results. Hosting, security and platform logs may nevertheless contain network and request metadata. Optional relay diagnostics record request identifiers, status, error codes and elapsed time, rather than tab content, API keys or provider response bodies. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

TypeSafe / Jev processes AI requests. TypeSafe’s published policy states that input is not used to train or fine-tune its models; it also describes retention for service, business and legal needs. JevtabAI does not promise zero retention by the provider. See TypeSafe’s privacy policy.

Processing by these providers may take place outside your country. Provider retention and processing are governed by their applicable policies and service terms; JevtabAI does not set a universal deletion period for their records.

Browser permissions

Storage keeps your saved material and settings locally. Tabs, requested when needed, allows JevtabAI to read titles and URLs and manage tabs for saving and restoration. Capture is limited to eligible tabs in the current ordinary window; recovery may inspect other ordinary windows to reconcile an operation. JevtabAI does not request Chrome’s browsing-history permission.

Context menus provide an extension management entry. Favicon displays website icons using Chrome’s favicon service. The extension does not use a third-party favicon aggregator. Optional access to the JevtabAI AI host and TypeSafe API is requested when you choose the relevant AI action.

How information is used

Information is used to provide saving, restoration, organization, AI suggestions, recovery, support and service security. JevtabAI does not sell personal information or use it for advertising. The extension and this website contain no advertising or analytics SDKs; this website does not set analytics cookies. Hosting providers still process operational request information.

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Transfers are limited to providing user-facing features, security, applicable legal requirements, or other circumstances permitted by that policy. Human access is not part of routine AI grouping; it is limited to your explicit consent for support, security investigations, applicable legal requirements, or other cases allowed by the policy.

Retention, deletion and your choices

You can use manual organization without AI, revoke optional host permissions in Chrome, remove your own key through AI settings, delete saved entries after confirmation, and export or import backups. Removing a Space returns its saved entries to Inbox rather than deleting those entries.

Deleting an entry does not automatically erase copies in previous exports, the local pre-import recovery copy, or AI caches and signatures. You can remove the recovery copy in Settings. Uninstalling the extension removes its local extension storage; separately exported files, support emails and service-provider records are not removed by uninstalling.

Local free-trial usage is associated with this Chrome profile and installation, without an account. Clearing extension data or using another profile can reset that local state. No automatic cross-device backup is provided.

Security and support

AI requests use HTTPS. The product-funded key is kept in server-side secret storage. A key you supply is stored in local extension storage restricted to trusted extension contexts; JevtabAI does not add an encrypted key vault. Backup exports are ordinary JSON files containing saved links and Space information; keys and AI usage are excluded.

If you email support, we receive the address, message and attachments you choose to send through the support mailbox. We use them to respond and resolve your request, retaining them as needed for that purpose and applicable obligations. Do not send API keys or private browser backups. Prefer the extension’s safe diagnostic summary for connection issues.

Contact bryceyufeng@gmail.com for privacy questions or requests concerning information you have shared with the developer. Local data remains under your control; requests involving independent providers may also need to be directed to them.

Changes to this policy

We update this page when JevtabAI’s data practices change. The date above identifies the current version. Material new data uses will be explained in the product and permission or consent will be requested where required.
